Nothing compares to watching Stephen Curry and Lebron James on the court.

Maybe you even got to watch Michael Jordan in action, but everybody had to start somewhere, right? Watching the fresh blood can be just as entertaining as seeing how the potential unfolds in these new young players.

Newly drafted players definitely come out with something to prove. This new strength, along with inexperience, can make them absolute wild cards for people taking bets.

To get the best results, you’ve got to stay in the know. Checking out Ladbrokes will keep you updated on all the latest NBA odds and fixtures so you can also come out of the season a winner.

So, hold on to your hats; here come the top young players in the NBA.

Alperen Şengün

Houston Rockets’s No. 16, also known as Şengün or “baby Jokic“, might not be the biggest or the most intimidating, but what he lacks in defensive force he makes up for in being a potent playmaker.

Being the second youngest player to ever reach 2500 points, 1500 rebs and 700 assists, we all know why he was in contention to be a part of the All-Star team at just 21 years old.

Zion Williamson

When you’re looking at Zion Williamson, you’re looking at a player who’s averaging 22 points per game on 58 per cent and is on his way to making his third All-Star game in his fourth full season. To say that’s impressive is an understatement, considering the hype he came up with.

Franz Wagner

Franz Wagner‘s breakout didn’t seem to catch anyone off guard, especially with two solid seasons under his belt and helping lead Germany to a gold medal in the FIBA World Cup

Franz has also been a key player in helping the Magic return to relevance and become one of the best young teams in the NBA. He may not be on the All-Star team this year, but being so young and talented, he still has time on his side.

Victor Wenbanyama

We believe Wemby has the potential for much higher, but he’s still in time to move up in the ranks.

Averaging 19.3 points per game, 10.1 rebounds and 3.3 blocks, his star is definitely on the rise.

Whether or not he’ll continue to climb the ladder of NBA success will depend on his maturation and support.

Chet Holmgren

It was a tough call putting Chet above Wemby, but he earned his spot in accordance with his scoring being more efficient while protecting the rim at a high level as well.

As a seven-footer with 55/41/81 shooting splits on significant volume, there are not many people who have achieved such a feat.

Tyrese Haliburton

Being labelled as one of the best distributors in the NBA and currently leading the league in assists per game by more than two full assists over second place, Haliburton deservedly owns his spot as one of the best young players in the NBA.

He’s already an All-Star and on his way to being on the All-NBA team this season, and should he keep it up, there’s no denying he’s on his way to being MVP.

Paolo Banchero

With his athleticism, strength and skill at his size and anchoring Magic back into playoff contention, it’s only fair that Paolo Banchero be one of the top players on this list, especially as someone who delivers a 30-point triple-double in a win over the defending champion Denver Nuggets.

Anthony Edwards

As many predicted, Anthony ‘the Ant-Man’ Edwards has soared to new heights of success, and the trajectory of his career only seems to be going up.

With a performance of  26-5-5 per night on 38 per cent shooting and leading the Minnesota Timberwolves to the No. 1 seed in the West, there’s no doubt that he has the potential to be the new face of the NBA in due time.

Luka Doncic

The number one young player to watch in the NBA goes to none other than Dallas Mavericks’ Luca Doncic.

While talent is something in basketball, you can’t mess with the statistics.

Doncic has put up eight rebounds, nine assists and over 33 points per contest as an elite scorer who has been a 1st All-NBAer and an All-Star these past four seasons and has shown no signs of slowing down.

Final Thoughts

Keep an eye on these young guns as they mature and work their way up the ranks. You’ll find in the coming seasons, they’ll be key players that affect the odds, and you won’t be off guard when and if it happens.
