Jaylen Brown clearly not himself and had some defensive lapses in this game. But heck of an effort here denying Joel Embiid and then contesting shot with Celtics mismatched. pic.twitter.com/UEi42Wncam

Jaylen Brown – 2022 NBA Finals
Jaylen Brown helped the Celtics anchor the best defense in the league in 2022. Moreover, he continued taking steps forwards as a scorer and proved to be one of the best two-way players in all basketball despite his young age.
Brown was the leader on both ends of the floor, stepping up for a nervous Jayson Tatum. He drove to the paint, piled up steals, pulled up from distance, and made his teammates better in every single possession, but to no avail.
Eventually, the Boston Celtics lost in six games in their first trip to the NBA Finals since 2010 and the first in both Brown’s and Tatum’s careers. Hopefully, that will be motivation enough for Brown to take his game to a whole new level and come back stronger in the future.
