The Western Conference Finals could come to an end as early as today. The Dallas Mavericks and Minnesota Timberwolves will square off for Game 4, and as crazy as it may seem, we could be witnessing a sweep.

Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Dallas Mavericks
Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving have been on a tear since the beginning of the series, and the same cannot be said of Chris Finch’s troops. Anthony Edwards finally showed up to play in Game 3, but Karl-Anthony Towns and Rudy Gobert are still nowhere to be found.
The Timberwolves are against the wall and officially have no more margin for error. So, we could either see them put up the performance of a lifetime, or the Mavericks are going to get plenty of time to rest for the NBA Finals.
The Mavericks are almost a lock to advance at this point. No team has ever come back from a 0-3 deficit. Nonetheless, that doesn’t mean Jason Kidd’s team will punch their tickets to the ultimate stage today.
Anthony Edwards is completely exhausted, but we still think he has an extra gear and layer to his game, and just like all superstars in the making, he should be due for a massive performance in Game 4.
Out of that alone, we believe the Timberwolves are going to be able to live for another day and force Game 5 and the series to head back to the Twin Cities, even if that’s not enough to come back from this.

On that same note, we believe Edwards is finally going to have the breakout scoring performance he’s been due for since the start of the Western Conference Finals, leading all players in scoring.

Last but not least, we think that Dereck Lively’s absence and the Timberwolves’ desperate need for a win will make them push the pace, making this a high-scoring affair, at least for this series’ standards.
